Robert is originally from Odessa, Texas, and joined the US Army after attending Texas Tech
University. He earned a Master's Degree in Education (Counseling Psychology) from the
University of Missouri-Columbia and has since worked in Residential Substance Abuse
facilities, Drug Court, Crisis Team, Outpatient Mental Health, Juvenile Prison and Psychiatric
Hospital settings with children, adolescents and adults.
Robert's primary specialty is working with adolescent and young adult males who are having
a difficult time adjusting to changes or have anger issues, abuse histories and substance
abuse problems. In order to achieve positive results in as little time as possible, he utilizes
scientifically validated counseling methods, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy,
Reality Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and the Gorski Model and Medical models of
addiction recovery to help clients.

Kay Soles, MS, LPC

Kay is a licensed professional counselor and received her Master's of Science degree in
Counseling from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. She has lived in Corpus Christi for most of her life
and was an elementary school teacher for 27 years, one of those years as a Department of
Defense teacher in Okinawa, Japan.
She has facilitated Alpha and Purpose Driven Life Groups at the First United Methodist
Church as well as women's study groups. She has experience with adult and adolescent court-
ordered cases involving truancy, assault, abuse and theft. She has also worked with families
struggling with conflict and substance abuse issues.
Kay believes that:
- Healing comes from God and that He works through the therapeutic process;
- God's grace and love is the source of all healing; and
- The Bible is God's roadmap for our earthly journey and the basis for a blessed life.

Elizabeth Buckley, MS, LPC, RN

Elizabeth is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Life Coach. She received her Masters
of Science degree in counseling from Texas A & M University - Corpus Christi. She has lived
in the Corpus area for the last 23 years, but has also lived in Louisiana, Arkansas, Indiana and
Minnesota. Elizabeth is a Registered Nurse and has practiced nursing since 1974. She
specializes in community nursing.
Elizabeth Buckley Counseling is a counseling practice dedicated to helping people cope
with life situations. The purpose is to provide strength, education, encouragement and hope
during the change process in life. She believes that life change is inevitable and the best is
yet to come. In the change process there is a reason for everything that happens. The
change is your freedom journey. Her specialty is women's issues of all ages; depression,
anxiety, mood disorders, relational issues and anger. She also counsels men, children, and

Laurie J. Hoffman is a native Texan. She earned a Master’s of Science degree
in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
She is certified to practice the professions of both Licensed Professional
Counselor- Intern (LPC-I) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor-
Intern (LCDC-I) in the state of Texas. Laurie believes that a loving God
embraces each of us. Our faith liberates us from all that keeps us from his light.
Faith brings healing and comfort from injuries. Faith awakens the love for
ourselves so that we may enter into nurturing relationships with others. Faith
enlivens and empowers us to continue to grow and flourish within the graceful
ebb and flow of life.

Linda earned a Masters of Science Degree in Counseling from Texas A&M
University - Corpus Christi. She received her certification as a Supervisor for
LPC-Interns from the University of Houston.
Linda’s work experience includes out patient mental health services,
working with adults, adolescents, and families. In addition, Linda has
worked with adults and adolescents coping with substance abuse and
behavioral issues. Her work sites included out patient mental health centers,
substance abuse centers, alternative education centers, juvenile detention
centers and the Juvenile Justice System.
Linda’s areas of interest include:

- Depression
- Anxiety
- Self-esteem Issues
- ADHD
- Conduct Disorders, and
- Family Issues.
Linda uses Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a
means of assisting clients in making desired changes in their lives. It is
Linda’s belief that change comes through client motivation, working through
issues cognitively to recognize what the client can or cannot change and then
altering behavior to reach pre-determined goals.
